La La Land

I'm supposed to write about this last night, but I reached home near 12am and so happened teacher Joshua texted me about his son's bantal busuk. Looks like my gift and expectation came true. Haha! I have been wanting to text him last month and few days ago. It was insightful talking to him.

At 6.10pm yesterday, Natrah came to my desk and asked me where I wanna watch La La Land. I told her I couldn't blackmail my brother to watch with me, so I'm thinking to watch alone. Then I asked her if she wanted to watch, which she hesitated. I checked both TGV and GSC timing, trying to find the nearest cinema and voila! Midvalley, 7pm. Looking at each other and the time, not sure what came to us to think that we can reach Midvalley on time for the movie on a rainy evening after work, we decided to log our ATT and off work. She ran back to her desk, frantically closing off; me doing the same, closing all ongoing conversation.

My app got stuck when I wanted to proceed to payment. We hopped into my car and I decided to buy the tickets when the car is not moving in the jam later. I drove through the rain and many cars, she bought the tickets for us. Not long after we were stuck, practically not moving. Both of us were so determined that we positively said we will be able to make it until 7pm when we were quite a distance away to MV. I jokingly told Natrah that we probably have to catch the next timing on. 8.20pm and ended up paying 29 bucks to watch a movie. Lol.

Malaysian are busybodies. Turns out there was an accident at the motorist lane and the road after that is cleared. I drove quickly to the first carpark entrance, parked my car and off we go running from P1 to the top floor of MV to GSC. You should have seen us, two mad women saying "Excuse me." and running like crazy all the while. And then that stupid barcode wouldn't work and we spent 2-3 minutes waiting for the steward to sort it out. We went into the cinema at 7.20pm, the musical has started but we did not miss much. We high five and trying to catch our breath. Thinking of it now really makes me want to laugh as it's hilarious.

Towards the end of the story, I teared. I did not expect the ending at all. In the end, the girl move on and the guy stayed loyal. There was a flashback of how their life would be, should they have gotten together. But when reality hits, they just looked at each other from afar, smiled and nodded.

I feel myself being able to relate to this movie.

It breaks my heart to see that they didn't ended up together when the guy is the reason why the girl is successful, and the girl is the reason why the guy achieved his dreams.

"Where are we?"
"I don't know. Let's see."
"I will always love you."
"I will always love you too."

Too bad the sound effect wasn't good enough.

It would have been perfect.
